A Note from the Owners

Thank you for visiting Solar Gardens’ web site. Our company was founded as a Maryland corporation in February 1993. We are locally based in Silver Spring and family owned, operated and supervised. The two principles, Neal Cogswell and Jon Winter, graduated from the University of Maryland with Bachelor of Science degrees in Landscape Design. By choosing Solar Gardens you will be the recipient of our cumulative fifty years of landscaping experience.

Over those years we have refined our business and service strategies. Our designs and recommendations are backed by our experience. We know what works and how to accomplish your goals. At Solar Gardens we strive to exceed our clients’ expectations by paying attention to the details and placing a high value on the trust our customers place in our company. We work closely with our foremen to assure your project is implemented as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Our foremen have been with Solar Gardens for over ten years. They are highly skilled craftsmen who take great pride in the projects they complete. We invest in equipment and training which assists in completing jobs on schedule and within budget.

Solar Gardens is ideally sized to create an exceptional outdoor environment for you. We are a small company that provides personalized service, yet we are large enough to handle any size job. This provides you with peace of mind that your project will be professionally managed by our team. We coordinate all materials, scheduling and installation time frames to minimize the possibility of delays and miscommunication.
